Why should I use Ten-Killer Livestock Hauling?
Ten-Killer Livestock not only cares for your horses and animals on the trailer, We provide services more than just drivers of trucks and transporters, We are also friends that are here to help in any way we can. We are horse owners ourselves and know how important your animal is to you. So we will never claim we can do it all but, What we will do is provide a service that is satisfying to you our customer, with four open line's of communication to all of our trucks at all times during shipments.
So you will always know what is going on and where your livestock is during transportation.

What do I need before I ship my horse?
Before Shipment date you will need a health certificate (good for 30 days). A coggins test good for 6 months to a year. Photo copys WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED! Failure to produce proper paperwork will result in a direct cancellation. In some states you may also need a brand inspection. Please see a listing of the following states: Arizona-Colorado-Montana-Idaho-Nebraska-New Mexico-Oregon-Utah-Washington and Wyoming.
***Only If your horse is from the one of the following states is the brand inspection required***

Do I need shipping boots or blankets?
No shipping boots are not required.

What do I need to provide?
Shipping boots and blanket(s) if desired, must be on horse prior to loading time. One bale of hay per horse, Shavings or straw if you would like bedding for your horse. We do provide hay and/or Shavings, Straw at a extra charge. Also if you need help putting boots and blankets on, the driver may assist in this if they so desire.

What will the cost be for shipping of my horse?
Cost of shipping is determined by the number of horses or cattle, and mileage is $2.50 a loaded mile (BECAUSE OF FUEL INCREASE) and if there are any deadhead miles for pick-up there will be a flat rate of $1.00 a mile.
We are sorry for having to charge this much but this is how we make a living, This is not just a one time haul for us or something just to fill slots on our trailer ! We do this 24/7 - 365 days a year with Four trucks and Six Trailers . So we are sorry for any inconvience.
But like the old saying goes you get what you pay for. However when you use Ten-Killer Livestock you get a friend instead of a just a transporter and you will also get a world classs service for you and your horse(s).

Fill in Rates:

WE DO NOT DO FILL IN RATES!
The reason for this is because it would not be fair to other people we haul for that has paid full price to get their horse(s) shipped and then we charge someone else a less price for hauling for them! Also with the price of fuel going up everyday, we can not afford to offer fill in rates. Please understand that anything can happen when hauling horse(s), Breakdowns do occur, tires do blow out, along with the wear and tear on our equipment.
We do appreciate your understanding in this matter.

Payments:
Deposits: A deposit of 50% of the shipping fee must be received in advance to reserve your stalls. This should arrive at our office at least 7 days Prior to the trips departure date. We accept cash, money orders and cashiers checks, We also have started accepting PayPal.
Balance: The balance must be paid at pick-up or at delivery PRIOR to unloading of any horses. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS. Only Cash or a cashiers check will be accepted.

What if I have a hard loading horse?
It is the owner's responsibility to prepare a horse for loading. This is because we are on a time frame to pick-up and deliever other horses on the route. But we will give a hundred percent in trying to load your horse for you.

How much time is allowed for loading?
We allow 30 minutes for loading. Waiting time at the barn for the pick-up or a delivery person is charged at $50 per hour after the first half hour. The same charge applies for horses which take longer than 30 minutes to load.

What if there is a emergency in route and my horse gets sick or injured?
All customers will be  notified of any and all delays. All Veterinarian bills will be reimbursed at delivery.

Can I ship tack along with my Horse(s)?
Tack transportation - charges may range from $25 to $100. If tack is not indicated in the quote the driver decides how much money this will cost if he has room for the tack.

What else might result in an extra charge?
A difficult access road if not disclosed in original quote request.
The truck needs a vertical clearance of about 12 feet below overhanging signs or tree branches.
If you have any doubt about accessibility, please call our office in advance to discuss. It is the driver's decision as to whether an access point is safe. It may be necessary to walk a horse to a truck that cannot enter (or exit) an access point. A change of location for pickup or delivery As noted above, there may be a $50 per hour loading / unloading charge if the scheduled 30 minute loading/ unloading time allowance is exceeded. Any damage to the trailer or equipment caused by your horse.

Will the truck be delivering in the middle of the night?
Yes we do PICK-UP AND DELIVER DURING THE NIGHT and this is only for the well being of your animal and anyone else's that happen to be on the trailer.
We can not control weather or traffic situations and must keep your horse(s) and other horse(s) on for a safe time period we are sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause..

What if I have to cancel?
More than 72 hours Prior to the scheduled departure from our base - $50 processing fee. Less than 72 hours but more than 24 hours of the scheduled departure from our base - 25% of the total shipping fee. Within 24 hours of the scheduled departure from our base - 50% of the total shipping fee.

Will my horse be insured?
As a federally regulated carrier, $1,000 limited accidental mortality insurance is provided for each horse. It is important to understand that this is collision mortality only insurance. As a third party (not the owner), it is not possible for us to provide full coverage insurance. It is primarily the horse owner's responsibility to provide insurance. If the owner elects not to obtain insurance, the owner assumes all risks. If you're shipping a horse that has just been purchased, it is strongly recommended that the buyer and seller come to an understanding in advance as to who is responsible for insurance during shipment or who is assuming the risk. If you want full coverage you should arrange for insurance prior to shipping. Inexpensive options for 30-day policies for travel are readily available from sources such as the All American Horse Insurance Agency.

We will be posting photo's of horse's that we have hauled and/or that has interacted with our company either from being for sale or training. We reserve this right by law.
